“It’s more than just obedience. It’s the confidence of a dog to make good decisions while living in this world along with us.”

Aly Rodges has been called the Doodle Whisperer and even a modern-day Dr. Doolittle. She has a reputation for training some of the best doodles in the world. Her clients include A-list celebrities from across the country and despite her nickname as the Doodle Whisperer, she and her team train every age and breed of dog.
Her program trains over 50 puppies a day, 365 days a year in the art of “Just Be.” Her pooches come from across the country. When asked what “Just Be” means when it comes to dogs, she said, “it’s more than just obedience. It’s the confidence of a dog to make good decisions while living in this world along with us.” Her programs teach how to establish effective structure and rituals, mastering purpose driven activity, creating special boundaries and understanding the human equation.
Aly (the shortened version of Alyson) believes that when you invite a dog into your life, you need to be ready to live the life that accommodates that dog. Her programs expose dogs to a multitude of experiences that teach them how to cope with reality in a calm state of mind. Some have called it “life management skills” for dogs. Aly said, “teaching a dog to sit and come are important but not everything. Obedience is just a piece of the puzzle, but it is not the end game.”
