Our dogs are allowed ‘social’ time, but always with appropriate supervision. I love watching my Izzie, Kozi, and Bo teach all the ‘youngers’ how healthy pack dynamics are supposed to work. No bullies or hysterical dramatics allowed! It is important for dogs to learn how to co-exist with healthy, balanced social dynamics…but that is only possible with a balanced pack. Just because there is more dogs doesn’t mean that its proper or appropriate play. If not done correctly, more dogs can equal more problems. Your dog might just be better off on a purpose-driven walk with you than a free-for-all with a bunch of over-excited, out-of-control dogs.
